Luckily for us, this problem has been fixed, and thus here is my review, at long last! Still, there are some features where it almost feels like that they just simply copy/pasted this game to another platform just to earn some extra cash.Today Sony Interactive Entertainment and Koei Tecmo announced that the Nioh collection is coming for PS5 and PS4, while PC is getting the second game. At first, the controls were terrible, since still the PlayStation controller icons were showing and the game wasn’t optimized to be played with a mouse & keyboard (which made the game unplayable unless you linked a PlayStation controller to your PC since an Xbox controller didn’t work, I tried). Of course, this wasn’t the easiest task and it took a couple of months to get everything to work better on PC. Nioh 2 was originally a PlayStation game which has been adjusted to be a PC game as well. PC port | Okay this is a bit difficult to write since most problems have been fixed but it’s still not perfect and definitely should be mentioned. It can be frustrating at first but once you get the hang of everything it will become more fun, I promise. One small misstep and BOOM, a club straight in your face, one more, and you are dead. But there is more, as this isn’t the only thing that is difficult about Nioh 2. There is just so much to keep in mind that at some points, it can get really confusing. Unfortunately, I’m not the quickest learner when it comes to new combat mechanisms. Yes, the combat system is nice and really well developed, but in order to get familiar with it, you’ll need time and more importantly, patience. The number of times that I died in the first 10 minutes of the game is uncountable I think. Difficult | The game is very, very hard.I couldn’t put down the game for too long because I was eager to know what was the next thing to kill, so if you like killing evil monsters and use advanced combat this game is a win already. I’m not going into detail much further because I don’t want to spoil anything but I promise that the story is really extensive and intriguing. In order to continue in the story, you have to defeat evil yokai, which can be literally anything from hell spawns to ghosts, in order to gather their Spirit Stones. Story | In Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition you’ll play as Hide, a half-human, half yokai. It adds some welcoming challenge that I very much enjoyed. Piecing all this together will make you one master of death, but you gotta practice, a lot. It doesn’t stop there though, you also have your special yokai abilities that deal massive damage.
This is how your attacks will strike your opponent, and getting familiar with them and how to change them in combat will only help you further. The next important thing is the so-called stances. Of course, while playing you can still change the weapons so you aren’t stuck with them forever. There is a wide variety of weapons that you can wield from the start, but you will always start with 2 weapons you can choose yourself, you can even try them out before you make a definitive choice. Combat system | It is safe to say that Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition has one of the best combat systems that I encountered so far in my gaming history. Both the graphic and sound aspect gave me the feeling of walking around in ancient Japan so KOEI TECMO GAMES are 2 for 2 in this category. The music and sound effects that you hear in Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition are spot on and bring the game together perfectly. The developers definitely went above and beyond in order to provide us with an amazing-looking game, and no, it doesn’t stop there. Graphics & Sound | You simply cannot deny the fact that Nioh 2 looks absolutely amazing! Every environment that you travel through is so detailed, not to mention the characters and bosses that you encounter during your playthrough look stunning. This game is also available on PlayStation 4/5. We played Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition for 10 hours PC. So let’s have a look if the praise game Nioh can keep the vibe alive in Nioh 2. Here you will have to fight hordes of yokai in order to survive. In the Action RPG franchise of Nioh, you will embark on a journey that takes place during the Sengoku period in Japan. LifeisXbox’s Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition review | 4 years after the successful release of Nioh: Complete Edition, KOEI TECMO GAMES has released its successor Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, which includes all DLCs.
